On May 5, 2026, the Post voted to change the meeting time for our Monthly Business Meetings to 1830. This is a change from 1900. The below is the email that was sent to the Department Commander as required.
Pursuant to Section 205, this email serves as the written notification of our Post meeting time change. VFW Post 5785 currently meets on the 1st Tuesday of the month at 1900. Per our meeting last night (5/5/26), the membership voted to change the meeting time to 1830, same date and location. Additional notification will be placed upon the Facebook page and website along with notification to personnel not present last night. This notification meets the required 14 days advance notification, but the Post has determined that implementation date will be 1 Jul, specifically with the first meeting in July as Jul 7. Our Auxiliary has been advised and they are working the process to change their meeting time to the same time of 1830 with the same implementation date.
